A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 52-year-old man in the premises of a temple in Bindapur area of southwest Delhi.

The Delhi high court on Tuesday admitted the CBI’s appeal against the acquittal of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in a case 1984 anti-Sikh riots related to the killing of five Sikhs by a mob here.

The police has arrested a businessman who allegedly hired a contract killer to kill a 67-year-old man from whom he had taken loan on interest. The victim was shot dead by the contract killer in Rani Bagh, outer Delhi, on August 19.

A police official said that the accused, Praveen Kumar, is a registered medical practitioner. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar Jha.
