Most colleges teeming with teenagers are evolving into a germinating ground for young musical talent. Zac Brown create a music furore

Artiste: Zac Brown Band

If you love the strumming of Neil Young’s guitar or are a self-admitted Dylan addict, then the American country music has been one barren genre with no memorable music to speak of lately. Zac Brown Band, however, promises to be the musical tonic you’ve been waiting for. The band has bagged its first Grammy for the Best New Artist category.

You can’t do such things as you have a dress code to stick to in college! Students have come up with their own ways to feel a little less hot this summer and they manage to remain stylish despite their dress codes.
Neha Belthur, a student of RV College of Engineering tells us how she and her friends dress up to college during summer. “Firstly, we aren’t allowed to wear sleeveless and capris. So we go in for short sleeves or cap sleeves. We opt for light and summery colours and of course cotton, when it comes to kurtas. We don’t wear high neck or collared shirts or kurtas ‘cos it’s summer.

Summers come with laissez-faire clichés — long, lazy, endless, and most teenagers were happiest taking refuge from the blazing heat in coffee shops and gaming arcades. Not any more though. Groups of impassioned youth are taking their academic time off to make the world a better place.
