With the reconstituted Group of Ministers (GoM) on the Bhopal gas tragedy meeting on Friday, CBI director Ashwani Kumar is reportedly preparing his reply to questions expected to be raised at the meeting.
India sends Dawood papers to UN
India has sent its comments to the United Nations about the cases pending against underworld don Kaskar Dawood Ibrahim.
The comments have also been conveyed to the Interpol for renewal of the “red corner” notice (RCN) against the underworld don. Sources in the intelligence agencies informed that Dawood, who is wanted in several cases by the Indian agencies, is operating from the UAE and Pakistan.

SC/ST confusion in Census
While a group of ministers has been constituted to discuss the issue of listing castes in Census 2011, the ongoing demographic exercise is throwing up a complex problem. At present, even legitimate Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) are not being bracketed in their respective categories if they live outside their home state and do not figure in the list of STs and SCs notified by the state in which they reside.
Two out of three BSF copters ‘out of order’

40 Pak militants to enter through J&K?
Around 40 hardcore terrorists of different Pakistan-based militant outfits will attempt to cross into the Indian territory this month. The latest intelligence inputs reveal that these militants will try to enter India through Gurez and Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir. Sources said that the majority of the militants who would attempt infiltration belong to Lashkar-e-Tayyaba.
Rs 1,000 per month for militants’ family by ISI
The Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan has now decided to pay Rs 1,000 per month to each of the family members of militants, who are killed by the Indian security forces. Identical amounts would also be given to the family members of those who are fighting “jihad”.
