London court seeks reason for India Navy case delay
A London court has reportedly asked the government of India to explain the delay in the extradition request for Mr Ravi Shankaran, the prime suspect in the Navy war room leak case made by the investigating agency.
Mr Shankaran was arrested by the Metropolitan police in London on April 21 following which the CBI, Interpol’s liaison in India and the agency investigating the case, was informed. CBI sources said there was no delay in requesting Mr Shankaran’s extradition and that the Indian high commission in London was in touch with the authorities concerned to expedite the process.
The agency has reportedly sent its reply through diplomatic channels, sources said.
