India sends Dawood papers to UN
India has sent its comments to the United Nations about the cases pending against underworld don Kaskar Dawood Ibrahim.
The comments have also been conveyed to the Interpol for renewal of the “red corner” notice (RCN) against the underworld don. Sources in the intelligence agencies informed that Dawood, who is wanted in several cases by the Indian agencies, is operating from the UAE and Pakistan.
Making it clear that D-company is spreading its base in Bangladesh and Nepal also, agencies conveyed that Dawood and his brothers are also indulging in terror funding in India.
“India’s comment on Dawood was conveyed to the UN recently. Dawood is currently on the wanted list of Interpol for organised crime and counterfeiting, besides, for his association with Al Qaeda as identified in the UN Security Council resolutions,” sources said.
They added that both, the nited Nations as well as the Interpol, require comments from the countries concerned when the notices as well as sanctions are renewed.
