2 CRPF men among 6 held for stealing arms for Naxals

Lucknow, April 30: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) on Friday arrested six persons, including two CRPF jawans, on charges of stealing arms and ammunition from the armoury and supplying them to Naxals. The arrests were made from Rampur, Jhansi and Moradabad.

Maoist firing at police station

New Delhi, April 30: Maoist rebels reportedly opened fire at Errabore police station in Dantewada late on Friday evening. Police sources said the firing continued for nearly five to 10 minutes. No casualties have been reported so far.

Shibu is kept confined to Ranchi home

Ranchi,  April 30: JMM stalwart Shibu Soren has been kept confined to a few rooms inside his Morabadi residence in Ranchi and is not even being allowed to meet or speak to those he wants, including some of his oldest colleagues in the three-decade-long Jharkhand statehood movement.

BJP considers Sinha, Munda for J’khand

New Delhi, April 30: Former Union minister and Hazaribagh MP Yashwant Sinha and former Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda are being considered as replacements for Jharkhand chief minister Shibu Soren. Following the BJP’s threat to withdraw support to the JMM-led coalition, the outfit has offered the BJP the CM’s post.
