BJP considers Sinha, Munda for J’khand

New Delhi, April 30: Former Union minister and Hazaribagh MP Yashwant Sinha and former Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda are being considered as replacements for Jharkhand chief minister Shibu Soren. Following the BJP’s threat to withdraw support to the JMM-led coalition, the outfit has offered the BJP the CM’s post.

Sources disclosed that Mr Shibu Soren’s son, Mr Hemant Soren, had been in touch with Congress MLAs in Jharkhand for the past two days.
While a section of the state BJP feels Mr Sinha is the right man, others argue that in a tribal-dominated state a tribal leader (read Mr Arjun Munda) “is a natural choice”.
