Focussing on the current situation of increasing sexual abuses of children, women and child development (WCD) minister Krishna Tirath asked the state governments to take necessary steps for the implementation of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. The minister proposed that students be educated about the law as part of school curriculum.
