Tihar inmates gets their own radio station: TJ FM Radio
The country’s largest prison Tihar jail has now got its own FM radio station. Director-general, prisons, Vimla Mehra on Tuesday launched the “TJ FM Radio” at Central Jail No 4 in the Tihar complex.

Tandoor murder case hearing begins in Supreme Court

J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah said in Srinagar that the creation of Telangana state would incentivise agitation. “It is fine that you have to create Telangana, but don’t do it piecemeal. Telangana will be created on the basis of agitation. This way agitations are being incentivised,” he said in Srinagar.
Mixed reaction to T-decision
If the Congress claimed credit for the decision to form Telangana, the BJP insisted it would have formed the state during the NDA rule but for opposition from a key ally. The Left cautioned that this may spur more such demands. Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao welcomed the decision to form a separate Telangana state.
New state will take 4-5 months
The Union home ministry has told the political brass that it will take at least 122 days or four months for creation of the new state of Telangana. This involves a number of steps including adoption of state re-organisation bill by Parliament by a simple majority.
