The state BJP has demanded the withdrawal of history and social science textbooks prepared by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) following negligence towards the history of Maharashtra and its prominent personalities.

A peeved Bombay high court on Friday said that the officers sitting in Mantralaya “consider nothing and the proceedings heard by them are over within 10-15 minutes”.

A luxury bus and another private vehicle collided head-on in Kasara on Saturday, killing nine persons, including four of a family and injuring 18 others.
