Mumbai, March 14: The Maharash-tra police anti-terrorism squad late on Saturday arrested two terror suspects, both residents of the city, who were planning to strike at the headquarters of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in the fashionable Bandra neighbourhood, along with a shopping mall in Borivali and a market in South Mumbai.

Ahmedabad, March 14: The Gujarat anti-terrorist squad said here Sunday it had arrested a suspected Srinagar-based Hizbul Mujahideen activist, Bashir Ahmed, for allegedly scouting possible targets for terrorist attacks, including the Isro complex, Ahmedabad railway station and the Akshardham temple, and recruiting youngsters for terror training camps in Pakistan.

Srinagar, March 14: In the third strike in the city in a week, militants  attacked a CRPF patrol near a police station in central Srinagar, killing a jawan and injuring five others.

Chandigarh, March 14: The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Sikhism’s supreme religious affairs body, on Sunday issued an amended version of the Nanakshahi (Sikh calendar) which is expected to be more in sync with the Vikrami calendar and concurrent Hindu religious events.
