TJAC rejects Hyderabad as common capital
In view of the attacks on Telangana people during the APNGOs rally, the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) on Saturday rejected the Centre’s move to make Hyderabad the common capital of the two states for 10 years or a UT and demanded Telangana with 10 districts with Hyderabad as the sole capital.
Guard held for murder in orissa
The Orissa police on Saturday arrested one Diptiranjan Patnaik, the accused involved in the murder of Bachhansudha Patnaik, wife of a leading businessman. Diptiranjan, who worked as the security guard at the house of the victim, killed the woman on Wednesday when her husband Manu Patnaik was away at his auto-showroom at Hanspal on the outskirts of the city.

In election season, Pawar wants MSP hike
In a significant move ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Union minister for agriculture Sharad Pawar has moved a Cabinet note to seek a substantial hike in the minimum support price (MSP) of rabi (winter) crops for 2013-14, which is even higher than what the Commission for Agriculture Costs and Prices (CACP) has suggested. 14 Maoists killed in Orissa encounter
At least 14 Maoists, including a woman, were killed in an exchange of fire with security personnel in Saliakota forest near Padia in Orissa’s Malkangiri district, nearly 750 km from here, late on Friday night, the police said on Saturday.
C’garh cops to identify slain Naxals
A team of policemen from Sukma district in Chhattisgarh’s south Bastar region on Saturday left for Malkangiri district in Orissa to identify bodies of 14 Naxals killed during a pre-dawn operation by the local police in the neighbouring state.
