Bhatkal says ISI drawing Naxals
In a sensational disclosure to his interrogators, India’s most wanted terrorist, Yasin Bhatkal, has revealed that Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), is working on a multi-pronged strategy to spread terror in India and for this purpose is now trying to rope in Naxals as well.
Bhatkal revealed that the ISI has deployed some handpicked operatives in Bangladesh with the specific aim of luring Naxals into its anti-India gameplan.
Bhatkal claimed that during his several visits to Bangladesh, he met key ISI operatives who revealed that the Pakistani intelligence outfit was desperate to involve Naxals in spreading terror activities into the most interior areas of India now.
Apart from this, he said that the ISI was making fresh attempts to make further inroads into the Northeast by consolidating its network through terror groups operating in that region.
