Former telecom minister A. Raja's aide Sadiq Batcha allegedly commited suicide in Chennai, the police sources said.

Sadiq Batcha, a close associate of former union communications minister A. Raja and under the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) scanner in the 2G spectrum scam, died here on Wednesday afternoon, officials at Apollo Hospital here said.

Over 140 MLAs did not disclose their PAN (permanent account number) details during the 2006 Assembly elections. The election commission has made it compulsory for all contestants to give PAN details this time.
