Raja aide Sadiq Batcha is dead

Sadiq Batcha, a close associate of former union communications minister A. Raja and under the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) scanner in the 2G spectrum scam, died here on Wednesday afternoon, officials at Apollo Hospital here said.

According to the officials here, Batcha was brought to the hospital around 1.30 p.m by his wife and another person and was pronounced dead. The cause of his death was not immediately known. The CBI had raided Batcha’s company Green House Promoters and house in connection with the money trail of the 2G spectrum scam. Former minister Raja’s wife was a director in Green House Promoters.
