Cabinet nod to bill draft against touts
The Delhi Cabinet on Monday cleared the draft of the anti-touting bill that would be tabled in the Delhi Assembly in the winter session. As and when passed, the Act will replace an ordinance that was promulgated to prevent the tourists from being fleeced and harassed by the touts during the Commonwealth Games.
‘Cries of trapped heard till late’
It was a scene of total chaos all around soon after the building collapse at Lalita Park in Lakshmi Nagar area in east Delhi on Monday evening. Ramesh Tyagi, whose house was adjacent to the ill-fated building, said: “Initially, I heard a sound very similar to a bomb explosion.
