‘I wanted girlfriends, but was shy’

College days are always the best and carefree days of your life. It’s the time we make loads of friends and actually discover our hidden talents. That’s what happened with me. Though I actively participated in various activities even during school, but it was only in my third year at Hansraj College that I realised I am born to be an actor.

I was an active member of the dramatic society there, and initially joined only on the insistence of my friends.
I agreed to participate as some cute girls were also there, and I kind of followed them. But I had no girlfriends. Not that I didn’t want any, just that I was one of those shy types.
Though I had lots of fun, hanging out with friends, my college days were busy. I did History (hons) and was the second topper in my first year. I had friends in other colleges of the city, so I would often spend time in their canteens. Yes, that means, I sometimes bunked college, but those were the best days of my life.
