Arterton is looking for diverse roles

“Bond Girl” Gemma Arterton is afraid of being typecast as a period drama actress and is looking for more diverse roles in movies.
The 24-year-old actress, who shot to fame in an adaptation of Tess of the D’Urbervilles, is now looking forward to putting her roles as a love interest in Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time behind her to focus on stronger female characters, Contactmusic reported. “I always thought I’d be in period dramas playing downtrodden girls in love. I read so many scripts and they’re all the same, either the character is just someone to be in the background or they’re there to help the man, to be the love interest like I’ve done in Prince of Persia or Clash of the Titans,” she said.
“What I want to do is find characters who are the focus. Sexy and real women, not perfect. Not pin-ups,” she said.

Zac Efron used hair to attract girls in school
London: A former classmate of High School Musical star Zac Efron has said the actor used to ask girls to braid his hair in a bid to get closer to them.
The 22-year-old actor, who has been dating actress Vanessa Hudgens since 2005, used to befriend his female classmates by letting them fiddle with his locks when he was a teenager, Contactmusic reported. Lana Limon, who studied with Zac at the California State Summer School for the Arts, said, “I braided his hair one day, and he left it in for a long time. And then we finally took it out and it was all greasy and crimped. It was just for fun.” —PTI
“He ended up drawing huge lips of one page of my scrapbook with his name inside and his phone number,” she added. —PTI

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
