Sex racket busted at disco in Goa
The Goa crime branch on Monday busted a prostitution racket being run from a bar-cum-discotheque and rescued 11 girls and arrested 10 people. The Pharaoh’s Den has always been a sleazy disco near the famous Candolim beach, say locals and the raid was long overdue. “I don’t understand why the police had to wait till the off-
season to raid the place. They could have arrested many more people if they raided while the season was on,” said Mr Joseph Braganza, a resident of Candolim. He added that the bar would open only at around 9 pm everyday even during season time and that by itself was suspicious. “We always knew that something fishy was going on there but did not complain because in Goa you never know which politician might be connected to what,” he said.
Police inspector Sudesh Naik told reporters that of the 10 people arrested, one was a pimp, Ashish Joglekar, four were his associates and five were customers, who were apparently caught in compromising positions.
Two of them are local Goans while the others are outsiders.

I've been visiting Goa for years and am very disappointed to see the decline. It seems that they make the same mistakes as the rest of India. Over crowding and corruption. They allow to many business people and fast money men to operate with out permits or regulations.
