School teacher arrested for raping class XI student

A private school teacher has been arrested for allegedly raping a class XI student for months on the pretext of giving her good grades in examinations.

The accused teacher, Durgalal Meena (22), who was teaching in Pt Sukhwal Senior Secondary School here since October 2011, repeatedly raped the 16-year-old student, promising her good marks in examinations, Additional SP N. L. Pavan said on Saturday.

The teacher had threatened the girl of dire consequences if she divulge the matter to anyone.

However, when the girl's parents came to know about it, they lodged an FIR against the teacher, who was arrested on Friday after the medical test of the victim.

When contacted, the school director, Lokesh Sukhwal, said the school administration was unaware of the incident and the accused teacher had been removed since March 30.

it was quite unethical incident happening with girl student. it was a kind of forcefful anti human actvities occurred in the surrounding of school atmosphere. Teacher needs to be punishd and secondly, before appointment of teacher, training and somekind undertaking must be signed from them regarding moral character of teacher. If anykinf of moral failure on the part of teacher is reflected in the teacher's behaviour, he/she needs to rigoriously punished.
