Centre plays RSS card to quash JPC demand
New Delhi, Nov. 29: As the deadlock between the government and the Opposition over constituting a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the alleged 2G spectrum allocation scam continued, both the Houses of Parliament were adjourned on Monday for the 12th consecutive day without transacting any business.
With no solution in sight to the logjam in Parliament, the Lok Sabha Speaker, Ms Meira Kumar, said she has convened a meeting of leaders of all parties on Tuesday as part of her efforts to ensure smooth functioning of the House.
The scenes were no different in the Rajya Sabha, which was also adjourned in a few minutes after it was convened for the day.
Meanwhile, the main Opposition BJP once again turned down the government’s renewed appeal to give up its demand for the JPC, saying its position was based on “logical and justifiable reasons”.
The leaders of the non-BJP Opposition parties, including the Left, are likely to meet the President on Tuesday to urge her to advise the government to accept their demand for JPC.
Meanwhile, in a deft move to isolate the BJP from other Opposition parties over the JPC demand the Centre played the RSS card, saying the main Opposition is working under the Sangh’s direction over the issue.
“They (BJP) have the direction of RSS,” the parliamentary affairs minister, Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal, said. He said the BJP’s demand was “politically motivated” and accused the party of trying to mislead the people.

India's parliamenteary affairs minister Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal accuses BJP for working under RSS instructions to demand for JPC. The other day Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari blamed the Left for behaving like Naxalites because Naxalites also don't believe in democracy and the leftists ruining democracy by demanding JPC. Who should the public believe? Agree to the demand of JPC. Everyone knows that there are always compulsions in coalitions. Be brave, admit it and come clean.

" BJP is working under RSS directions while demanding a JPC" Well done Pawan Kumar Bansal. Now let's find something similar to blame non-BJP parties for this demand. Carry on with your efforts and you will succeed.
