Balsara elected ABC chairman

Mr Sam Balsara, chairman and managing director of Madison World, and Mr T. Venkattram Reddy, chairman of Deccan Chronicle Holdings, were unanimously elected as chairman and vice-chairman of Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for the year 2011-2012.

Mr Venkattram Reddy was also unanimously elected by the ABC Council of Management as the vice-chairman of Readership Studies Council of India (RSCI), which will undertake future readership studies jointly with the ABC and MRUC. Mr Balsara has been a member of the bureau’s council of management since 2002 and was the deputy chairman of the bureau during 2010-2011. He is also the recipient of the Advertising Agencies Association of India’s lifetime achievement award and the Ad Club of Kolkata’s Hall of Fame Award.
