Angelina Jolie and former model Carla Bruni will soon be seen in their new comic avatar as they make it to the independent comic company Bluewater Productions’ hall of fame. Termed as “Female Force”, the comic aims to fill in the blanks in the lives of both controversial and world famous celebrities. We asked youngsters in the city, which Indian celebrity’s life would they love to see in a comic book form.
Knot for the right emotional reasons
A survey has found that married women feel more secure in life as well as at the workplace than their unmarried counterparts. Before the International Day for the elimination of violence against women this month, BharatMatrimony conducted a survey on marriage and security among women across the country and found that the former provides women a sense of security and a fence against workplace harassment.
Youngsters give nod to home for teen destitutes
It was only recently that the capital witnessed the plight of a pregnant destitute, who died giving birth to a baby on the pavement even as Delhiites walked passed her. In a city where there are many destitute women in distress, the Women and Child Welfare Department has notified a dormitory at the short-stay home in Nirmal Chhaya for would-be mothers in an advanced stage of pregnancy. The move aims to help pregnant teens who are victims of rape or incest, and those who have been dumped by their boyfriends. It seems like the initiative may help bring down the number of unsafe abortions and careless consumption of contraceptives.
