A 42-year-old teacher with an M.Phil degree was sentenced to six years’ rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of `1 lakh by a Delhi court for inflicting severe physical abuse on her 17-year-old domestic help leading to the girl’s death in March 2007.
Raj Bala is critical at G.B. Pant hospital
Raj Bala, the victim of the pre-dawn melee at the Ramlila Grounds on Sunday who received spinal injuries, is still critical at the G.B. Pant hospital in the capital. Raj Bala, 51, is one of the 71 people injured in the pre-dawn eviction at the Ramlila Grounds, where yoga guru Ramdev was holding his indefinite hungerstrike.
