No post-poll violence in WB now, arms seizures to continue
West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said that no post-poll political violence was taking place in the state now but said that police will continue operations in seizing illegal arms.

New finance minister Mitra hospitalised
New state finance minister Amit Mitra fell ill after midnight and was admitted to a private nursing home in early hours of Saturday with acute abdominal pain.
“His condition is stable now and there is no cause for concern,” said Pradip Tondon, chief executive officer of the Belle Vue Clinic where Mr Mitra has been undergoing treatment at the intensive therapy unit.

She has asked the police department not to bring the entire traffic to a halt from wherever his car passes.
