The Assam police wants to take arrested Saradha Group chief Sudipta Sen for investigations in cases against him in that state.
FIR on Trinamul RS MP in Saradha case
In what may add to the embarrassment to chief minister Mamata Banerjee, non-bailable charges have been pressed against Trinamul Congress Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh. A group of 21 employees of Channel 10 which Mr Ghosh headed and rose to become its chief executive officer had filed an FIR against him at the Park Street police station late Thursday night.

Absconding director arrested
One of the absconding directors of the Saradha Group was arrested, immovable properties of the company have been attached and some of its bank accounts have been frozen.
Trafficking racked busted in Bengal
A girl-trafficking racket was busted in West Bengal by the South 24-Parganas police on Friday. Four members, including a woman, of the gang which trafficked minor girls from Basanti, Canning, Sonarpur and adjoining areas of the district to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were arrested.

19 killed in Kolkata market fire
At least 19 people, including an 80-year-old woman, were killed and several others sustained burn injuries as a massive fire gutted Surya Sen Market at Sealdah in central Kolkata in the early hours Wednesday. The toll is likely to rise further. This blaze comes just over a year after the AMRI catastrophe in December 2011, in which 93 people were killed.
