President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday made his maiden visit to the ancestral home of his in-laws where he was given a traditional reception meant for a “jamai” (Bengali woman’s husband).

Bangladesh on Friday said it has received international support for the landmark trail of “war criminals” accused of committing “crimes against humanity” during the country’s 1971 “Liberation War”.

After Pakistan, Bangladesh has now blocked social networking site Facebook for hosting pages featuring blasphemous caricatures of Prophet Mohammed and “obnoxious” images of the country’s leaders.
