India, Canada to ink N-pact

During the forthcoming G-20 Summit in Toronto, India and Canada are all set to sign a civil nuclear agreement. Once that is done it will ensure India supply of Uranium besides co-operation in nuclear research and development, nuclear waste management, radiation safety and environment protection.

DGCA norms on relief for passengers

The DGCA on Monday issued a proposed draft regulation that stipulates compensation to be paid to passengers by airlines in case of them being denied boarding on flights, and in case of flight cancellations without notice to passengers but appears to have lowered the proposed compensation by about 60 to 66 per cent compared to its first draft regulation issued two years ago.

China hots up metal stocks

China’s move to allow the Yuan to move from its dollar peg is the reason for the optimism in the sector, say experts.

Split with JD-U will be suicide: BJP

Sources disclosed that a majority section within the BJP’s central leadership is of the view that BJP would commit a political suicide, if it choses to sever ties with JD(U) at this moment. The saffron party has 54 MLAs while JD(U) has 81 in the 243 member assembly. The magic figure is 122 to run the government in the state.
