Defence Minister A.K. Antony on Tuesday ordered a CBI probe into the Adarsh land scam in Mumbai. This was ordered after his ministry completed the process of examining reports submitted on the Adarsh issue by the Army, Navy and defence estates department.

Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta on Tuesday demanded “immediate” arrest of the OC chairman of the just concluded Commonwealth Games Suresh Kalmadi. He also called for seizing of the passport of Mr Kalmadi.

Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday demanded action against all the persons involved in the Adarsh society scam. The Sena leader said that taking action against Ashok Chavan was not enough as he was not the only one involved in the scam. The Enforcement Directorate is mulling action that can be taken against former IPL chairman Lalit Modi in a bid to tighten the noose on him.
