Missing 8-year-old girl found murdered

The body of an eight-year-old girl, who had gone missing since January 3, was found in an under-construction building a couple of lanes away from her house in Patel Nagar on Monday. The police is trying to find out whether the girl was sexually assaulted. Two minor boys living in the locality are suspected to be involved in the incident.

Man gets 14-yr RI for terror funding

Realtor shot dead, rescuer records statement on cell

A 40-year-old property dealer was shot dead by two bikers at Rani Bagh on Sunday night. The deceased, Sahil Khatri, 42 was returning to his A-block, Sector-4, Rohini residence from Gurdwara Bangla Sahib when two bikers intercepted him near Sharda Niketan and shot him. Khatri was hit in his chest and fell off his bike. The assailants escaped with his motorcycle.

A factory employee was shot at and robbed of `6 lakhs by four bikers at Jyoti Nagar in northeast Delhi on Monday morning.

TRP panel for increase of sample size

A committee constituted to review the Television Rating Point (TRP) system submitted its report to information and broadcasting minister Ambika Soni on Monday. It has recommended increasing the sample size from the present 8,000 homes to 30,000 in both rural and urban areas over the next three years.

45-year-old labourer dies of cold

Biting chill claimed the life of a labourer at Model Town in northwest Delhi, the police said on Monday.
The police said, 45-year-old Karamvir was found lying dead outside a temple in Bharat Nagar area of northwest Delhi. Karamvir was working as a menial labourer and his body was spotted by a pedestrian who alerted the police control room.
