Kareena’s changing her ‘skin’

If you thought shooting for an ad was as easy as pie for the stars, think again. Recently, while shooting for a laptop commercial, Kareena Kapoor had to change her costume 45 times! Kareena explains, “My costumes in the commercial changes according to the colour of the laptop. Hence, I had to change 45 costumes.”
The actress confessed that it has not been an easy shoot. Along with the costume changes, the actress had to shoot for a harrowing sixteen to seventeen hours till dawn. “It has been shot entirely on a motion control camera. Honestly, it was quite tough, as I had to change my clothes and the laptop each time, and walk. I walked 20km in a single day. It was crazy pacing up and down, and it hurt my knees too. But it was worthwhile as it is one of the coolest commercials I have ever shot. It had a great concept,” enthuses Kareena.
The actress, currently busy shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s home production Ra.One, says she hardly gets time to keep abreast with the daily news. “I travel a lot because of work and don’t have enough time to even watch television or read the newspapers. I keep track of the daily news on my laptop. That’s one way I get to read all the good and the bad news that is being written about me,” she laughs.
But Kareena points out that she is very selective about her endorsements. “I refrain from endorsing smoking, alcohol and non-vegetarian food. All these products are complete no-no for me!” she avows.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
