Deep tragedy on every show

Hai-hai! Terrible tragedy has struck the families of Bhagyavidhata (Colors). Vinayji and his two cute dimples are no more. That paglet Kanchan, who was brought by churail Punpunwali to wreck havoc in Bindiya’s life, stabbed him to death. All are sad-sad, in white-white. Vinay’s mother is distraught and Bindiya is grief-stricken and really, really angry — at Bhagwan, bhagya and the Sinhas. The Sinhas are also angry, at poor Bindiya and her bechari family.
But kal maine ek new Bindiya dekhi. There was something in her eyes that said, “Bus. Aur nahin.” I think, Bindiya’s suffering-and-silent tears days are over. She will now turn into Ma Chandi and do full and final vinash of Punpunwali. But, hai. Ever since Vinayji has left, I have been bhatkoing to other shows, to forget and move on. But jahan jaati hoon wahan hi deep tragedy paati hoon.
In Balika Vadhu (Colors), Sugna and Shyam’s adorable little Varun has spilled some dangerous beans about that evil Tausa. Oh! Watching flashback of that pyara baby crying for Tausa’s help as he was slipping down the terrace was so disturbing that I wanted to strangle that Tausa with his pagri.
Bhagwan ke ghar main why is there so much der and andher? Yehi sochte-sochte I decided to have some fun at Bigg Boss. But BB par toh one agitated saand, who goes by the name of Dolly Bindra, was head-butting one and all. This Bindra chick, I’m certain, is a life member of Agra Loony House. The only way there will be peace in the Bigg house is if she is strapped to her bed and administered high-voltage shocks every five minutes. Okay, make that two.
On one side, there is this violent saand and on the other is Bigg Boss ka shadyantra. The BB people have engineered a romance between that Ashmit MMS Patel and Veena escort-service Malik. It really is a rab ki banai jodi. She likes to show, and he likes to record and send. This will be one happy and profitable venture.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
