While Avinash Sachdev is determined to give his best as the chauvinistic Shlok in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon — Ek Baar Phir, someone who isn’t happy with the same is his mother. Shlok is a complete chauvinist who believes that a woman’s role should be confined to taking care of the home and family. Avinash shares, “Being an anti-hero is not easy, you have to play the character to the hilt and be ready to accept the ‘love to hate’ reaction from viewers. I am a calm, composed person in reality and a complete contrast to Shlok. However, after my mother saw the promos, she was stunned and the first thing she said to me was, ‘beta, who will want to marry such a person?’”
