‘I’m an adventure freak’

I love travelling. It doesn’t matter to me, if I am alone or in the company of friends and family. If I want to be at peace, then I travel alone.
I am a backpacker and at times I also love to pack for holidays at leisure. But the choice of destination depends on my mood. The only thing I ensure before going on a vacation is that it is the right time of the year. Otherwise, there’s no planning needed these days as everything is taken care of with a click of a mouse.

A city with art, architecture and museums interests me a lot. But at the same time, I love sitting by the seaside and exploring places. I am an adventure freak, so I like scuba-diving. Also, places that offer adventure sports attract me.
However, I can go to London any time of the year. It is such a wonderful place and has everything to offer from art galleries to music houses. For a person like me, who indulges in art activities, there are so many things to explore. You can go to a portrait museum or can even opt for amazing Broadway musicals.
When in a mood to shop, nothing can beat the Portobello Market. It is a hotspot for everything you desire. Different lanes in the market offer interesting stuff. And if you don’t want to buy something, you can just go there, take a stroll and relax.
I love holidaying in islands. I’ve been to the Andamans and just fell in love with its natural beauty. The dense forest and sea make it serene.
Speaking of Paris, who wouldn’t be in love with such a romantic place. The architecture too is amazing and I’m not just talking about the Notre Dame and Eiffel Tower, but just the ambience is invigorating. The culture, food, romance and everything that it offers is exceptional.
And I just can’t conclude without mentioning Rome, it’s an exceptionally beautiful city and it leaves you wanting to return there again and again.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
