Russia's Ekaterina Makarova seized on a listless performance from Serena Williams to send the five-time champion crashing out in the fourth round of the Australian Open on Monday.

Makarova recorded a huge upset when she won 6-2, 6-3 to reach her first ever grand slam quarter-final.
