Economical and steady
If you are looking for a wireless, all-in-one colour inkjet multifunction printer for a small, low-volume office or home at an affordable cost, HP’s recent Officejet 4500 is a good deal. A built-in wireless, fax, scanner and (manual) duplex come as useful features at this price band. The device is compatible with a number of operating systems
such as Windows 7, Vista etc and comes with a 20-sheet automatic document feeder, plus a 100-sheet input tray. Easy to use with a 16-character monochrome LCD, this energy star qualified device can be directly connected to your computer using a USB 2.0 port and share resources with the built-in Ethernet.
However, keeping in mind the price point, the device is not as that fast. Its warm up time is fairly high and there’s no proper output tray to prevent prints from tumbling onto the desk.
Performance wise, users will not be disappointed with the print and photo quality unless they are expecting too much from this printer.
