Kenya in trouble as Kula, Malinga strike
Colombo: Nuwan Kulasekara and comeback boy Lasith Malinga has blew open the Kenyan batting line up by taking off both their openers here at the R. Premadasa Stadium on Tuesday.
Kula, who was called in to share the new ball along with the spearhead Malinga, Trapped Morris Ouma with the second ball of his very first over in front of the stumps to get back in the groove after a lackluster performance against the Pakistanis.
Speedster Malinga has told rest of the World Cup rivals that he is back in the side by crushing Seren Waters with a yorker.
Meanwhile, Kenya, who lost their first two matches heavily, brought in fast bowler Peter Ongondo and batsman David Obuya for Thomos Odoyo and Rakep Patel in the two changes from their line-up against Pakistan.
Sri Lanka, who beat Canada in their opening match before losing to Pakistan, made two changes, with Malinga and Ajantha Mendis returning to the squad in place of Thisara Perera and Rangana Herath.
