Angelfire gallops to feature win

Angelfire, prepared by Jagdish Singh Dhariwal, was ably handled by apprentice jockey S. Zervan to bag the H.B. Gundappa Gowda Memorial Cup, the feature event of the races held here on Saturday.

Surging into lead from a forward position entering home stretch, the prime choice Angelfire held on grimly to win by a narrow margin from late flashing Atlantus.
