National Democratic Alliance (NDA) convenor Sharad Yadav has refused to comment on the speculation by a US Congressional Research report that Narendra Modi could be BJP’s prime ministerial candidate in 2014 Lok Sabha elections, saying “It is too early to make any observation on the issue”.
Asked by reporters if he would support Mr Modi’s candidature for country’s top post, the JD (U) chief tried to steer clear of the issue, saying “I have absolutely no comment on the matter at this juncture”.
Talking to reporters here late on Wednesday evening, Mr Yadav also preferred to evade a query as to if he would like to project Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar as prime ministerial candidate of NDA in the coming parliamentary polls.
