Olympic bronze medallist Sushil Kumar and his compatriots will get their first chance to qualify for next year's London Olympics at the World Wrestling Championship which will be held in Istanbul from September 12-18.
As per rules, the first six wrestlers in each category will qualify for London games. However if they fail, they will get three more shots for making the cut in the upcoming championships. The next chance will be Asian Championships in Kazakhstan followed by couple Olympic qualifying events in China and Finland (Helsinki).
The men's freestyle team trained in Belarus while the Greco-Roman team is currently training in Georgia from where they wopuld directly reach Istanbul.
