Not the Khans, the Kapoors, not even a Kumar. It’s Ajay Devgn who has become the new hot favourite of actresses in the industry. After hitting the jackpot five times in a row, the actor has been receiving loads of congratulatory messages and most of all, from the female brigade. The industry is not surprised. A trade analyst says, “Most actresses want to work with Ajay. He has proved himself as one of the most bankable stars and everybody wants to cash in on that.”
Reportedly, post Singham, top heroines such as Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut, among many others have expressed a desire to work with him. So how does the man of the moment react to that? “They are all great actresses and I am friends with most of them. But casting is a director’s call and I cannot interfere, although I would love to work with all of them. Being appreciated for your work is the biggest high for an actor,” says Ajay.
Even in the 90s, heroines such as Sonali Bendre, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor were vying for his attention. So has life come full circle for him finally? “Apart from being good co-stars, we were and still are good friends. Even now when we meet, there is love and respect for each other,” he says.
