It’s been nearly a year since the monster hit that was Dabangg was released, and even though Sonakshi Sinha shot to near-instant fame with her debut film, she hasn’t been seen after that. Sonakshi, however, says she is happy taking it slow. “I’ve always preferred quality over quantity,” she says, explaining her uber-choosy attitude while signing films.
She has, after much deliberation, signed Ashwini Dheer’s next opposite Ajay Devgn. “It’s a great script and I’m looking forward to working with Ajay. In fact, all the people involved are fun,” she says. “I cannot work with people I’m uncomfortable with.”
And although Sonakshi has just met Ajay, she looks forward to working with him. “Thus far, my interaction with him has been strictly restricted to hellos. He is a good actor though, and I hope I can match up to his standards,” she adds.
Meanwhile, she is also excited about Shirish Kunder’s Joker, where she teams up with another Bollywood superstar: Akshay Kumar. “I’ve seen only a few rushes of the film as yet, but I’m already looking forward to it,” she gushes.
