Light eyes, slender frame and a million dollar smile — Lisa Ray has everything going for her. When she first burst into the scene in Vikram Bhatt’s Kasoor, she was even compared to Bollywood heavyweights like Aishwarya Rai and Karisma Kapoor; courtesy her fair skin and light eyes. And then after dabbling with not too many films, she made a quiet exit after being diagnosed with cancer.
But now, after a long and arduous battle with the deadly disease the actress is back, to enchant her fans all over again. Looking back at her ordeal, Lisa says, “It was the toughest phase of my life and I have emerged a winner.”
The actress, who calls Canada her home now says, “India is not my base anymore but I love this country and the people here. But my home, work, friends and family are all in Canada now,” says Lisa. So, does that mean that she won’t return to Bollywood in future? To which Lisa replies, “I’ll keep coming back to India whenever there is suitable work for me. But I can’t move here permanently.”
