‘I am vulnerable and not a star’

Is it KKR’s exit from the IPL for the fourth consecutive time or the release of a film under his banner that is making Shah Rukh Khan all melancholic these days? There were reports about SRK choosing to stay at home to watch the IPL match, as he was upset over being booed in an earlier match. Well he has been pouring his heart out and talking about life on philosophical lines. Is the Devdas in him coming alive once again?
“I am still waiting to become a star. There are days I wake up feeling very pompous and there are days when I feel very humble. I think contradictions are the spice of life. If you like something today, with time you might find it different. I don’t think we have to stick to one ideology, thought and belief. People who lead lives with one belief are the most boring human beings on earth. There are days when I feel I have achieved a lot, sometimes I feel I am so great that I can afford to be humble, but sometimes I feel I am not good enough and I am very vulnerable,” says SRK.
The Baadshah of Bollywood says that he produces films that are profitable at the end of the day. “To be really honest, it is safer for me to do a film with me in the lead. I will do this till I am ‘saleable’. I have never ventured into making a film with other actors and actresses. I would love to do that. I made Ra.One because it was the most viable and I also like to believe that the youngsters still like to watch me,” he says.
Having said that, SRK goes on to say that he is still in touch with his human side. “I am completely human. I still cry, laugh, joke, get tense, get stressed, pareshan, disturbed. I can be as human as you are even, though supposedly for the last 20 years I have this pedestal that I stand on which says I am a big star. Actually, what I feel is that I am nobody till I work hard and make you smile,” he says. We’ve heard that a million times SRK. Say something else.
