Sleepless nights in store for Akki

Ah the burdens of being a bankable star. Akshay Kumar is having to do what he has made it a point to avoid throughout his career: Working double shifts. As his projects pile up, Akki is working late into the night — and losing his sleep in the process.
Now you may think that’s de rigueur in the glamour industry, the fact is that Akki is quite conscious of his daily routine, his sleeping patterns etc. But the shooting schedule for Joker and Desi Boyz are wreaking havoc with Akki’s carefully planned routines.
Says a close associate of the actor, “It has been over a week since Akshay returned from South Africa after wrapping up the shoot of Khatron Ke Khiladi 4, but he hasn’t taken proper rest. He jumped right into the shoot schedules for Joker and Desi Boyz.”
But Akki’s workload shows no sign of easing up once these projects are out of the way. Come June, and the actor will get busy with Housefull 2 and then, work on Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2 and Rowdy Rathore will begin.
Looks like for the next few weeks, Akki just has to resign himself to a 17-18 hour workday. The one bright spot: His upcoming annual vacation with wife Twinkle Khanna and son Aarav.
