The Congress has finally drawn up a list of ministers for the state representing a rich blend of experience, group loyalties, the harsh reality of community equations and the splendour of Malabar. Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy said the list would be announced on Saturday.
The community equation is as follows: three Nairs and two from the Ezhava community. However, the community equations in the list have created stirrings of resentment with Nadar MLA from Kattakkada N. Sakthan saying that leaders of his community were pressuring him to resign since it had got no representation in the Cabinet. He added that he would meet the CM on Saturday.
On the list are Antony camp strategist Aryadan Mohammed, settler representative K.C. Joseph, Karunakaran loyalist C.N. Balakrishnan, Antony loyalist K. Babu, I group foot soldier Adoor Prakash, I group sympathiser A.P. Anil Kumar, Mr Chandy’s best man Thiruvanchur Radhakrishnan, hardcore I group man V.S. Sivakumar and lone woman in the UDF camp P.K. Jayalakshmy.
