Two billion people watching the royal wedding had thought that the awkward moment when Prince William struggled to fit the wedding ring on Kate’s fingers, was due to sheer nervousness.
However, it has emerged that it was the Duchess herself who had ordered a size too small, thinking that later when she loses weight, the precious ring would not slip off.
“Kate asked Wartski, who made the ring, to make it a size smaller so it didn’t slip off,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as saying.
“She had her engagement ring resized because she’d lost weight and didn’t want the same problem with her wedding ring slipping off,” the source added.
The once awkward situation has now become a subject of amusement to the couple.
