Trinamul Congress general secretary Mukul Roy on Monday lodged a complaint with the Election Commission, demanding removal of officers-in-charge of three police stations in Jangalmahal because of their partisan behaviour. The sixth and the last phase of polling will be held in 14 Assembly constituencies in Jangalmahal.
“The hired goons of the CPI(M) have stockpiled a huge number of illegal arms in Salboni and Goaltore but the police is not taking any action against them. We have also informed the EC that many of our supporters have been killed in different parts of the state in post-poll violence,” Mr Roy said after meeting state chief electoral officer Sunil Gupta.
