Sonam and Rhea Kapoor, who last appeared in Aisha together last year, are planning to work on another film now. Despite Aisha not making any dent at the box office, Sonam says they are prepared for their sophomore offering. “Aisha was a small film that did well for the company and gave Rhea and I the confidence to make more films,” Sonam confirmed.
Aisha was a complete chick flick with the guys — Abhay Deol, Arunoday Singh and Cyrus Sahukar — taking a back seat. Sonam says it’s too early to decide the genre of their next production. “We are looking at scripts and the only thing I can say right now is that it will be something new and different; something that hasn’t been done before,” she says.
Considering most of Sonam’s contemporaries are signing up films by the dozens, she has taken a comparatively selective route, but Anil Kapoor’s little girl says it’s a deliberate decision. “I will be quite busy till July and need some time to settle down. I am open to stuff coming my way but I don’t want to start something I don’t want to. I am biding my time and am not in any mood to sign anything rubbish,” she says.
