Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi here on Friday said that their leaders are in touch with All-India United Democratic Front leaders who are also willing to have an alliance with the Congress for formation of government in Assam.
Asserting that his party would be able to form the government for the third consecutive term in Assam, Mr Gogoi told reporters, “If the AIUDF extends their support, we are not going to reject it but we are confident of getting the necessary seats with Bodoland Peoples Front to form the government.” He said that AIUDF leaders are touch with some senior leaders of the Congress but with his consent only. “Whatever is going on the AIUDF front in the party is with my consent,” he said.
